I paid for my first Lovable subscription using the student discount, and everything was perfect at first. However, I misunderstood that the 50% discount only applies to the $25 plan — CreativeKoala24 the discounted price is $12.50 — and that for any higher plan, the discount works as “regular price minus $12.50.” Because of that misunderstanding, I upgraded my subscription thinking I would get 100 credits for $12.50, but it actually cost me $25. That part was my mistake for misreading the student discount details.
After seeing that upgrading the plan cost $25 instead of $12.50, I wanted to downgrade back to the original Lovable Pro plan at $12.50. But when I downgraded, the price didn’t revert to $12.50 — CreativeKoala24 I only had access to the student discount for one month. I then canceled my plan completely to avoid further charges, and now I’m trying to get the student discount applied again for the remaining 11 months.
My subscription ended today — how can I regain access to the student discount, and who should I contact to resolve this?

I reached out a while back to Lovable as I really would love them to give 50% off each Pro tier as a verified student.
I don’t think I signed up as a student on my current Lovable account, and I can’t sign up as a student due to being on Pro tier 2 sadly.

@ProudRabbit640 After reading this, it seems the student discount registration can’t be resolved quickly. I guess I’ll have to pay the full price for now. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I’d recommend reaching out directly to support@lovable.dev for this - they handle all subscription and billing matters. Just include your account email and any enrollment proof you have.

This mean that I need to wait for the 19th and then at this date upgrade ? So I can get my full 200 credits ?

@RadiantOtter506 you are in the $25 plan with the student discount to $12.50. Your next level is the $50 plan minus the student discount ($12.50) which makes it $37.50

@ToughOwl160 If I upgrade now to the 50$ plan with the student discount, I’ll get 100 credits now. But I’ll have my plan getting full credits on the 19th of december. Will it be add to my balance? Or there is a limit of 200 credit on the balance and the 200 included with my plan will be used to complet the maximum balance and the rest will be lost.
